Bahasa Inggris kelas 1 RENCANA PELAKSAAN PEMBELAJARAN (RPP) No.2 Sekolah : SMA PIRI 2 Mata Pelajaran : Bahasa Inggris Kelas : X Semester/Tahun : I / 2006-2007 Alokasi Waktu : 4x45 menit
I. Standar Kompetensi Memahami makna teks tulis fungsional pendek dan esei sederhana berbentuk procedure dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan. II. Kompetensi Dasar Merespon makna dan langkah retorika teks tulis esei secara akurat,lancer dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan dalam teks berbentuk procedure. III. Indikator a. Mengidentifikasi makna kata dan kalimat yang dibaca b. Memahami generic structure dalam teks procedure antara lain goal, materials, dan steps c. Memahami ciri-ciri lexicogramatical features dalam teks procedure seperti penggunaan conjuction, tense, variasi susunan kalimat dalam teks berbentuk procedure.
IV. Tujuan Pembelajaran a. Siswa dapat mengidentifikasi teks berbentuk procedure yang banyak kita temui dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seperti resep makanan, instruksi menghidupkan computer. b. Dan siswa berkomunikasi dalam menggunakan procedure yaitu mereka dapat membaca bagaimana memasak atau menyalakan computer. c. Berlatih untuk memantapkan penguasaan tata bahasa yang mendominasi teks procedure seperti simple tense dan imperative sentences. d. Mengenal dan menyadari adanya strategi-strategi yang memudahkan dalam mempelajari suatu teks procedure.

VI. Metode Pengajaran Presentasi dengan media dan diskusi, Tanya jawab. VII. Sumber Belajar dan Media Pembelajaran Procedure texts, texts of recipe dan texts book (authenyic text). Pictures of the way to make a boiled noodle (made teacher picture). VIII. Strategi Pembelajaran 1. Pertemuan Pertama 1.1 Pendahuluan Firstly teacher greets the students to open the class. Next, teacher does the brainstorming about procedure. Ask them whether they know it or not. Give an example about the material, e.g How to Make a Boiled Noodle. It is very familiar o them. It is important because they will more understand what we are going to teach. Ask them to guess the step of making a boiled noodle. The teacher use some medias showing the steps to make boiled noodle. 1.2 Kegiatan Inti In this activity, hopefully students know what a procedure text is. What the goal is for example to give instructions, prohibition or to say the stages of doing something. Besides that students must know some un familiar words on the text, it is for their vocabulary. Ask them to spell it and check their pronunciation.
The next activity is giving the formula. Explain the tense first, and then teacher can go the verb that is usually used. It is a Verb Imperactive. By some examples explain them about the formula.

Give the other forms, the negative form, or maybe with modal. To check their comprehension asks them to make some sentences using the formula.
1.3 Penutup Teacher repeats once again and give students homework to bring the procedure texts. They could be how make noodle or how to operate a mobile phone. The texts will be used for the next meeting, to explain about the generic structure of procedure.
2. Pertemuan Kedua 2.1 Pendahuluan Teacher asks about the previous lesson. Are there any difficulties or not in doing their home work? Checked whether they are able to identify the procedure text by their authentic text which they bring. Discuss with students.
2.2 Kegiatan Inti Explain about the generic structure based on their procedure text. Ask they to find out the goal/aim, materials or the ingredients, and the last is about the steps.

After they understand it, give them another procedure text that are using temporal or sequence conjunctions such as The first, second, next, and then, finally etc.
For the second text, we can use a dialog which asking about how to make something. Then speaker A answers it to the speakers B using the temporal conjunctions.
The next activity is reading aloud. It can be a role play in front of the class they present their dialog.
2.3 Penutup They must able to make a procedure text by using temporal conjunction. To evaluate this lesson at the last activity we ask them to make their own procedure text. Close the lesson.
IX. Penilaian Tagihan individu, tugas kelompok, exercises.
Exercises! Change this sentences in to the negative form. 1. Turn on the radio. Example → Dont turn on the radio 2. Bring your bag. 3. Change your habits. 4. Cut the vegetables. 5. Clean my desk.
